Sarhaldan Park, implemented by NorthLight Living, is the largest public park in the area, spanning approximately 48 hectares. Once a polluted industrial site, the land underwent extensive soil cleaning, testing, and treatment, transforming it into fertile ground for trees, plants, and fresh air—adding 48 acres of greenery to the city of Duhok.

Designed as an inclusive public destination, the park features year-round landscaping with locally selected trees, a modern dancing fountain, sports courts and outdoor gym, Roman-style open-air theatre, prayer and ablution areas, and six cafés and restaurant spaces. Safety is ensured through RCDC systems, fire alarms, and full CCTV coverage.
With its industrial-inspired main gates and the largest Kurdistan flag, Sarhaldan Park stands as a symbol of transformation—turning struggle into a vibrant, living space for community, culture, and nature.
